Business Development Representative, Cold Calling (1099, Remote US)

You dial over a hundred numbers a day into people who did not ask to hear from you, you do it every working day, and you get graded on the recording afterwards. The engagement

You contract with 2CanTalks LLC, trading as 2CT Sales Co., as an independent contractor. You file a W-9, you invoice us, you receive a 1099-NEC. You are not an employee, there are no benefits, and you handle your own taxes.

You control how you work. We agree the campaign, the calling window and the number. How you hit it is your call. You are free to take other work as long as it does not compete with the campaign you are on.

What it pays

$1,000 a month base, paid whether the month goes your way or not.

Commission on qualified meetings that hold and on business that closes, on top of the base.

On-target earnings are $5,000 to $9,000 a month.

The base is not an advance and it is not clawed back against commission. We do not run commission-only seats. Not for a trial, not for a ramp, not ever. If another company has offered you commission-only for cold calling, you already know why that number never arrives.

Where you can be based

Anywhere in the United States, working US hours, with one exception.

We cannot contract 1099 in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Illinois, Connecticut or New York. In those states a contractor selling our core service fails the classification test no matter how the paperwork reads, and we are not going to put you or us on the wrong side of that. If you live in one of those six, this seat is not open to you right now.

You need a quiet room, your own computer and headset, and internet that does not drop. We supply the dialler, the CRM access, the lists, the scripts and the playbooks.

The role

You are the tip of the spear. You open. You take a cold list and a dialler and you turn strangers into booked, qualified meetings on US B2B campaigns.

Every call is recorded and reviewed. We coach to a standard, not to a vibe.

What you own

• 120-plus dials a day, and the connect and conversation rates that come from working a list properly. (Blount, Fanatical Prospecting)
• Qualified meetings that hold. Volume without quality is noise. You qualify against a real framework before you pass anything on. (Keenan, Gap Selling)
• Opening cold. Past the gatekeeper, earn the first thirty seconds, control the call. (Belfort, tonality and pace)
• The brush-off, handled without folding. “Not interested”, “send me an email” and “we are happy” are openings, not endings. (Blount, Objections)
• A multi-touch cadence across phone, email and LinkedIn without dropping a lead.
• A clean CRM. Every dial logged, every disposition honest, every next step dated.
• Your own numbers. You report your pipeline without being chased for it.
• Feeding the floor. Surface the openers, lists and objections that are working so everyone gets sharper.

Must have

• Two years or more of cold calling. Outbound, dial after dial. Warm inbound, customer service and account management do not count toward this.
• Proven high-volume outbound. You have carried a 120-plus dial-per-day number and you can say what it produced.
• Hands-on with diallers. Power, parallel or predictive. CloudTalk, Aircall, Kixie, Orum, PhoneBurner, Five9 or similar, and you pick up a new one fast.
• Comfortable across CRMs. HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, GoHighLevel, Zoho, whatever the campaign runs on. You keep it clean without being told.
• Clear, confident spoken English and a phone presence that holds a B2B buyer's attention.
• Qualification discipline. You ask sharp questions and you protect the calendar from junk meetings.
• Self-managed. You run your own day and hit your number without a supervisor over your shoulder.
• US-based, and able to contract as an independent contractor and complete a W-9.
• A remote setup that works. Quiet space, reliable computer and headset, stable high-speed internet with a backup.

Nice to have

• Booking into a specific US vertical: SaaS, financial services, healthcare, real estate, logistics or professional services.
• A named methodology on your record: Gap Selling, Fanatical Prospecting, MEDDIC, Sandler or similar.
• More than one industry or campaign behind you. You adapt your pitch to the buyer, not the other way around.
• History on a KPI-driven floor where the scoreboard was public.

How performance is measured

• Dial volume and talk time against the agreed target.
• Connect-to-conversation and conversation-to-meeting rates.
• Qualified meetings booked, and the show rate on them.
• Call quality score from recorded-call review.
• CRM hygiene and cadence discipline.
